In our Words {My poem}

In our words,
We build a world that is entirely for us,
In our words,
We find ourselves,
In our words,
We are free

- That's an original, baby! :D

Let me start this blog off with a poem I made...It's been a while since I wrote poems. Here goes me...

In our Words

In a world where justice and democracy are shadowed,
Here we stand
Teenagers we are,
We do not speak unless it does not gain us something,

We are silent
Our battle cries are not heard, we ourselves do not cry them out,
We remain silent
Silence we are, forever until we speak

Given a pen and a paper,
Given a whole new prospective,
Given a whole new view,
Given hope,

To write it all down,
Rubbish or not,
We write
Steadfast yet surely, we will succeed

In the diary we write,
We write about our dreams,
We write our minds,
We write the things we cannot scream to the world,

In these words, in our words we will live,
In our words we will thrive,
In our words we will find a new hope, a new land,
In our words we will seek for a better tomorrow,

In our words we will win this battle,
We have lost it so often, this mountain so steep to climb,
Today, we will topple over it,
Today we will get lost in our words,

Lost in the words we write, lost in our own thoughts,
In these words we will find sanctuary,
In the confines of our own thoughts we will find ourselves,
In our words we will no longer be lost

Ah. Now I hope that wasn't a mess. :D

Oh well. In Our Words, wholly inspired by Freedom Writers.

I just saw the movie, gosh am I late, and loved it to bits. I love the way how it is true in all its fine glory. I love every part of it. I don't really know what I'm going to blog about, oh. The poem. Yeah. That's an original. Written by moi on the day of March 19, 2009; 7:36 pm.

Freedom Writers gives hope to all. Anne Frank's light in the dark room which we call our souls will engulf us, not in darkness but in purity. We will survive this raging battle called life. We will because "We will forget about all the voices that told us we couldn't do it, could not succeed. We will take them out and we will be a whole new person. We will."

END.

The Cheers {for sweet revenge}

So many bright lights that cast a shadow
But can I speak
Is it hard understanding, that
I'm incomplete

I've been listening to My Chemical Romance now and I just remembered why I love them so much. Not only is Gerard Way a UNIQUE character, their music speaks to the soul!

I love it especially when Gerard goes, "Know that when you say "MCR saved my life!" the feeling is mutual." Who wouldn't love the guys for that?

Gerard...Gerard...Ah...Gerard Way. How old are you again? 31? XD;;

Frank and his comedic antics, yeah.

Oh well. This band really is one of my ultime faves. BLG, SecondHand, AllAmericanRejects, 3daysGrace, Paramore or anything else can't replace it! I might be obsessing over these bands, an artist or two, but MCR will forever be the best band - and I know it deep in my heart.

Who wouldn't seriously fuss over the lines :

"Well, I'll be holding on tonight. What's the worse that I could say? Things are better if I stay. So long and goodnight."

That line, my friends, is awesome. "Well if you carry out this way, things are better if I stay. So long and goodnight."

Just goes to prove that GOOD music comes in the form of MCR and that their songs have a great impact on those who listen to them. Yeah.

Helena is currently playing and I seriously want to go to an MCR concert!
